In large part, counseling is no different than discipleship, albeit occasioned by a problem, struggle, or difficulty. Every counselee is both a sinner and a sufferer who requires the grace and wisdom of God. Because Scripture affords all that is needed for life and godliness, I seek to apply the teaching of God’s Word judiciously and skilfully, while engendering a hospitable and kind attitude with everyone I counsel. My counsel emphasizes the role and need of God the Holy Spirit to both change the heart and minister to the soul.

You can expect our first session to involve us getting to know one another followed by the development of a detailed plan to address what you are going through. We will 1.) open our time with prayer and invite the Spirit of God to help us, 2.) apply the wisdom of Scripture to the situation, 3.) develop a feasable and God-honoring care plan, and 4.) we will implement that plan as your mind is renewed and you are sanctified.

I have many years of experience as a vocational pastor who preaches weekly and counsels people from all walks of life. I have helped people facing countless trials and difficult situations, from opioid addiction to changing careers.

What to Expect: I am an experienced pastor and a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. I counsel those facing a wide range of challenges, taking a God-honoring and compassionate approach.
