Holy Spirit to provide integrated care in the form of religiously based congnitive behavioral therapy in pastoral care. What aids in this type of service as a "helper" iin Christ are my love of Sabbath School /Church Ministry, and Martial Arts because of their authenticity of character and philosophical goal of mind/body/spirit. These things assist us in our daily lives by reminding us that great character build great leaders, and responsibly accountable Christians.
Counseling and Teaching are like one - both provide an opportunity to impart some of the knowledge and experiences not just in the secular, but the spiritual. Afterall, "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 18:18 KJV). Sharing my knowledge and experiences in Psychology, Organizational Management, Special Education, Criminal Justice, Behavior Analysis, and Pastoral Care and Counseling integrating the WORD (Bible) and its life teachings. This is exciting within itself as the Bible’s teachings convey the human condition in every way for the mind, body, and spirit. Counseling/Teaching is also a learning experience for me as well; it is a thrill to hear the stories and get to know my clients and/or students. Imparting what I know by God’s grace helps me grow and know more from knowing the needs of whom I am providing services to and for in every way.
I would like to be considered in collaborating with, and providing Spiritual Care to others as I have transitioned from the secular therapeutic environment with the integration of Biblical truths in the renewing of the mind. I have extensive years of experience within the human services industry as a cognitive behavioral therapist and behavioral intervention specialist among other counseling roles, integrated with certification (and currentl pursuit of a doctorate) in pastoral counseling. My encounter with Christ in my life led to my need to impart more biblically sound cognitive-behavioral approaches to mental, emotional and social well-being of others. I would love nothing more than to share the love and healing that Christ can bring to each and every one.
