First and foremost I offer Biblically-based coaching. The following are…
the theories I utilize in my coaching practice: Motivational interviewing, transtheoretical model of behavior change, social cognitive theory, self-determination theory, positive psychology, appreciative inquiry, and non-violent communication.
This coaching relationship will consist of growth and results-oriented conversations. This will be a collaborative learning experience. The conversations are designed to be thought-provoking, client-centered process that allows the client to self-realize and self-actualize their values in engaging in healthy behaviors. It is important that you don't consider the coach as a teacher in this experience, I do not have all the answers. Instead, it is essential that you understand you are in the driver's seat, and think of me as a helper, or a guide, but ultimately it is your journey. As the coach, I am honored to be a part of it.
The coaching relationship thrives in honesty and opened. The more cupcake we both become in this process the more we will both experience empathy and the more we will come to understand the love that God has for is. We do not have to change ourselves to go to God;no, He meets us where we are. Coaching strives to share this same characteristic in a judgment-free space in which empathy is abundant.
